RDU Airport, NC – Raleigh-Durham International Airport is open and prepared for commercial airline operations this morning. Due to yesterday’s winter storm, some airlines have canceled early morning flights, while others are scheduled to depart.

Passengers traveling through RDU over the next several days are advised to contact their airline before coming to the airport to find out the status of their flight. Airline contact information can be found at www.rdu.com.

In total, more than 325 flights, arriving and departing, were canceled yesterday. This morning, approximately 40 flights have been canceled.

Yesterday, many airlines serving RDU canceled all of their flights in response to the winter storm, a decision made on Friday in anticipation of yesterday’s storm. RDU remained open throughout the winter weather event and welcomed some commercial flights last night.

Throughout the night, crews treated RDU’s primary runway, taxiways and roadways.
