The sounds of bluegrass will fill the air in Terminals 1 and 2 this week! As downtown Raleigh welcomes bluegrass bands and performers for the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival, we’re very excited to once again host our annual Salute to Bluegrass Music Series, September 24 through September 28.
Throughout the week, enjoy live bluegrass music each afternoon in the baggage claim areas of our terminals. Not flying? Come on out, grab a cup of Starbucks, relax and enjoy some great entertainment.
Travelers from all over the world are expected at RDU throughout the week for the bluegrass music industry’s biggest annual event. When visitors arrive, they’ll be greeted by local and regionally-known groups such as The Family Sowell, CaneMill Road, No Worries, Dry Bread Road, and Oak City String Band, just to name a few.
Check out the complete Salute to Bluegrass schedule here.
The Salute to Bluegrass Series is our small way of welcoming and supporting the International Bluegrass Music Association’s annual industry meetings, awards ceremony, and the very popular World of Bluegrass events.
We are proud to support our community with events such as this. We hope you swing on by and enjoy some great bluegrass sounds!
