RDU AIRPORT, N.C. – Airlines at Raleigh-Durham International Airport have canceled the majority of the flights scheduled for today.
Following is an update on airport operations as of 7:30 a.m.
- While a handful of flights are currently scheduled to depart today, airlines have announced the cancellation of nearly 400 arrivals and departures.
- JetBlue and Southwest airlines have canceled all flights scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Both airlines expect to resume operations on Sunday.
- Crews at RDU treated runways throughout the night and into the morning. Both runways are open, and crews will monitor them throughout the day and treat as needed.
Additional flight cancellations may occur. Passengers with travel plans over the next several days should contact their airline to determine the status of their flight and to make alternative arrangements.
