RDU to Launch First Friday Music Series

RDU Airport, NC – Passengers traveling through Raleigh-Durham International Airport this Friday will be treated to the music of the Raleigh Flute Choir, the eclectic sounds of Thelonious and the Carpe Diem Saxophone Quartet. The acts will be the first performers in RDU’s new First Friday Music Series.

The performances are free and will be featured in the ticketing and baggage claim areas of Terminals 1 and 2.

“The First Friday Music Series is an extension of the holiday music program we have been featuring at RDU for more than twenty years,” said Teresa Damiano, RDU’s director of marketing and customer service. “Throughout the years, we have received feedback from our customers that they enjoy the local, live music. It is just one way that we can enhance our passengers’ travel experience.”

The First Friday Music Series will go through December. In all, 15 local musicians will perform at RDU as part of the series.
