RDU to Hold Auction of Surplus Property

RDU Airport, NC – This Saturday, October 10, the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority will hold an auction of surplus property. At the event, buyers will find automobiles, unclaimed property from RDU’s lost and found and surplus office and airport equipment. A preview of items will be held between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. The auction will begin at 9 a.m. and will last until the last item is sold.

The auction will be held at the RDU Maintenance Facility. Raleigh Auction & Estate Sales is administering the event.

This year’s auction will feature more than 10 vehicles, including four pick-up trucks and four sedans, as well as four 2005 Thomas built buses with seating for 32 passengers. Other items include more than 1,200 pieces of jewelry, digital cameras, books, laptop computers, baby gear and more.

The following forms of payment will be accepted: cash, N.C. check and credit card.

Directions from I-40: Exit toward RDU. Follow signs to Park and Ride 3. Turn onto National Guard Dr. Follow National Guard Dr. until it ends. Turn left onto Haley’s Branch Road. The RDU Maintenance Facility is on the right.
