RDU Airport, NC – The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority board today announced it has chosen ADK Executive Search of Atlantic Beach, Fla. to lead the search for Raleigh-Durham International Airport’s next airport director. John Brantley, who has been with RDU for 34 years, 29 of those years as director, will retire on July 31.
ADK is an airport management executive search firm led by Dough Kuelpman, a pilot with a 35-year aviation career including in airport planning and design for the FAA, an airport manager and Vice President with UPS Airlines.
The firm will assist the Airport Authority with developing a qualified candidate pool, screening candidates and conducting initial interviews. The board will make the final decision on who will be the airport’s next director.
ADK, working closely with the board, will identify criteria for the position and will begin the recruitment of potential candidates.
The firm, along with 14 others, responded to a Request for Proposals.
