RDU is ready to please you with fun new fare! While we kickoff design on 3 new eateries on the south end of Concourse D in Terminal 2, Starbucks® and the Tap Room (a bar and dining concept), will open to serve customers in the short-term starting in October.

Air Canada, Alaska, Allegiant and Frontier, as well as some Delta and American flights, board on the south end of Terminal 2.

Carmel Macchiato anyone? Oh yea. This will be the fifth RDU location for the Seattle-based coffee shop. Starbucks® offers a range of ethically-sourced and o so delish coffee products.

This temporary location will serve passengers their cup o’ joe until a new permanent location opens in a nearby space in 2017.

Located near the end of the terminal, Tap Room will feature various beers to refresh travelers, relaxing before their afternoon flight.

Curated drafts, canned and bottled beers pair up with classic sandwiches and snacks to give passengers a welcome oasis while they journey to their destinations.

Also coming in late 2017 (in addition to a permanent Starbucks® location):

popeyes-1In 2017 – Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen

Terminal 2, Gate D15

Known for its Louisiana flavor, Popeyes® has over 2,000 locations across the world serving up southern hospitality.

Their quick service cuisine bursts with Cajun influence, from its famous fried chicken to its succulent side options, to tasty breakfast options. Passengers will have loads to choose from the fiery, fast kitchen at Popeyes®!

whiskey-1In 2017 – Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Whisky River

Live music every week at RDU? You got it! Not only will Whisky River serve passengers with mouth-watering favorites, the restaurant will also feature a stage for live music.

Founded by NASCAR legend—and notable North Carolinian—Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Whisky River will bring the flair and excitement Earnhardt is known for on the track.

Well, this is just the beginning for RDU. More dining and shopping options are on tap for you as we add even more amenities to serve you. What do you think about these new options? Let us know in the comments!
