Airport Authority President and CEO presented award in New Orleans
RDU Airport, N.C. – This evening, Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority President and CEO Michael Landguth will be formally presented with the Airport Revenue News Director of the Year Award in the Medium Airports category in New Orleans.
The award will be presented during the last night of the ARN 2017 Revenue Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans. The magazine, a leading airport industry trade publication, announced the award in its September edition.
“Michael has achieved many local successes while at the helm at RDU and has demonstrated his commitment to the larger airport industry through his work with the industry’s leading trade groups,” said Ramon Lo, publisher of ARN in the magazine’s citation.
“It is such an honor to be selected as medium hub airport director of the year,” said Landguth. “I have been blessed by a supportive board, team and community. It is their support that distinguishes RDU from so many other airports across the country, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we have accomplished together.”
ARN referenced Landguth’s work in recruiting new air service, increasing the capacity of existing airlines and the Vision 2040 master plan as impacts he has made on the airport and region.
Landguth has been at RDU since 2011. Prior to that he was president and CEO of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority. He currently services on the Airports Council Intentional-North America medium hub committee, which he cofounded. Landguth holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in aeronautical sciences from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
