Adjusted Daily Rates Coming May 17 for ParkRDU Customers

Booking Online at ParkRDU.com Guarantees the Lowest Available Rate

As more people return to air travel, Raleigh-Durham International Airport is adjusting its parking offerings to ensure all customers may continue to park smart and enjoy easy access to the airport’s parking deck.

Beginning Monday, May 17, ParkRDU Central customers who book online at ParkRDU.com at least 24 hours in advance of their trip will continue to enjoy the current $10 daily maximum rate. The Central drive-up rate will be $12 per day beginning the same day – a 20 percent discount from RDU’s pre-pandemic daily rate. ParkRDU Central and Premier are the only parking facilities currently in operation due to the extreme downturn in passenger traffic since the onset of the global health pandemic.

ParkRDU customers will have even more to celebrate, as the daily maximum rate for Premier drops from $22 to $16 per day for those who book online in advance at ParkRDU.com. The Premier drive-up rate will remain at $22 per day.

Booking your parking online guarantees the lowest rate available to park at RDU, and a fully contactless entry and exit process. ParkRDU customers can sign up for email updates at ParkRDU.com to stay informed about future discounts and special offers.

“The airport must be thoughtful about managing its limited resources in the wake of the hardest year in aviation history,” said Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority President and CEO Michael Landguth. “With all airport parking consolidated into ParkRDU Central and Premier, we are regularly monitoring capacity levels and tracking passenger forecasts to make sure we have enough spaces and parking options available. We also consistently review our rates and promotions to match parking options with guest needs and preserve a world-class customer experience.”

RDU will consider re-opening remote lots as more travelers return to RDU. Additional lots will re-open when the deck is consistently nearing capacity. The re-opening process is costly and takes time due to many factors, from evaluating staffing and training needs to the expense associated with remote lot operation.
