This week, RDU, along with our trusty pal Patch, launched our Parking Preservation Project to improve ParkRDU Central.
This project will last through the end of the year, and allows us to make some critical repairs to parts of the garage, all in an effort to keep your parking experience safe and streamlined.
During the project, we’ll have to capture lots of parking spaces in the main garage – up to 1,500 will be unavailable at one time. We’ve taken steps to ensure this causes minimal interruption to your airport parking experience:
- We’ve hired extra staff to help you quickly find parking in the garage.
- We’ve have two electric express vehicles to connect the outer areas of the parking garage with the terminals.
- We’re providing real-time parking lot status updates on rdu.com, so you can check before you leave for the airport.
During the project, we anticipate the garage will fill faster than normal, so please make sure to take advantage of the real-time lot status tracker at rdu.com prior to coming to the airport; and give yourself plenty of time (we suggest two hours).
ParkRDU Premier and ParkRDU Economy parking areas will be fully available for parking throughout the project.
As we move forward, Patch will be with you along the way providing Pawgress reports and sharing any new developments here on our blog and on our social channels. You can learn more about the Parking Preservation Project by visiting rdu.com/patch.
