Airline Also Adding New Routes to Five More Destinations
Frontier Airlines will begin direct service from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in May. The ultra-low fare carrier will also begin nonstop service from RDU to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York, Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, Miami International Airport (MIA), Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Chicago-O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in April.
“Frontier is growing along with RDU and we are excited to see them expand the destinations they serve in time for spring and summer travel,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. “The new routes will offer travelers even more options for affordable getaways to favorite destinations and a new one in Milwaukee.”
When the new service begins, Frontier will serve a total of 24 destinations from RDU.
“Connecting the Raleigh-Durham area to these exciting cities is tremendous news for consumers across North Carolina,” said Josh Flyr, vice president, network and operations design, Frontier Airlines. “More affordable and convenient travel options are now available at RDU thanks to Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right.’”
