Non-stop service to Los Angeles returns in June
RDU Airport, NC – Delta Air Lines will begin non-stop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport on Wed., September 7. The airline will operate three daily flights between the two airports on 50-seat CRJ-200s.
“RDU welcomes Delta’s additional service to BWI,” said Teresa Damiano, RDU’s director of marketing. “BWI is a very important and convenient alternative to the Washington, D.C. area. We appreciate the fact that Delta values the RDU market and seeks new ways to support air service for our region.”
On June 9, Delta will resume its seasonal service to Los Angeles. The daily non-stop flight will operate five days a week and depart RDU at 7:50 p.m., arriving at LAX at 10:07 p.m. The return flight will depart LAX at 11 p.m. and arrive at RDU at 6:52 a.m.
The airline has also decided to discontinue service to Albany and Providence on September 8. Delta launched once daily non-stop service to each of the two cities earlier this spring.
With the changes, Delta will offer 57 peak-day flights from RDU to 16 cities.
