The end of September means one very cool thing at RDU: It’s time to celebrate bluegrass! We’re very excited to once again host our annual Bluegrass Music series, September 26-30, here at RDU.

Each day, enjoy live bluegrass music each afternoon in the bag claim of our terminals. Not flying? Come on out, grab a cup of Starbucks, relax and enjoy some great entertainment.

Travelers from all over the world are expected at RDU over the next week for the bluegrass music industry’s biggest annual event. When visitors arrive, they’ll be greeted by local and regionally-known groups such as Dry Bread Road, Magnolia Still and The Lang Sisters.

It will be a rousing, toe-tapping start to an exciting week of music in our region.  This year, 15 groups are expected to play throughout the week. Check out the exciting line-up here.

The annual RDU Bluegrass Music Series is our small way of welcoming supporting the International Bluegrass Music Association’s annual industry meetings, awards ceremony and the intensely popular World of Bluegrass street festival that our region eagerly anticipates each Fall.
