Spirit Airlines announced today it will begin nonstop service from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to seven cities.
The seven nonstop flights will operate daily year-round service between RDU and Baltimore (BWI), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Detroit (DTW), Orlando, (MCO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and New Orleans (MSY) with either the 145-seat Airbus A319 or 182-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Spirit Airlines operates one of the newest fleets of Airbus aircraft in the Americas.

RDU saw more than 12.8 million passengers fly through the airport in 2018. RDU has 68 non-stop destinations. Spirit Airlines now becomes the 11th air carrier to serve RDU travelers.
