Last week, I was honored to speak to attendees at the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Leadership Conference. One key focus of the meeting was to set the economic development priorities. 

The countdown is on! Terminal 1 is set to open on March 2, 2014. But, you don’t have to wait until then to go inside the building and see how the modernization project looks. We have re-launched the Terminal 1 section of rdu.com with more information and images of the terminal.

This is the second part of an occasional series that focuses on the airlines serving RDU.  When American Airlines first began service out of Terminal A in 1985, it was hard to know the influence the airline would have on the airport and our region. 

August marks one year since the beginning of non-stop service between RDU and San Francisco International Airport via United Airlines.  And we couldn’t be happier with the flight’s success.
