New Taxi Rates Go into Effect at RDU

RDU Airport, NC – On April 1, taxi meter rates at Raleigh-Durham International Airport will increase by $.15 per mile. This represents the first rate increase since 2001. Meter rates are charged for trips within Durham, Orange and Wake counties. Fares outside this service area may be charged at the meter rate or negotiated between the customer and the driver.

The new rates are:

$2.50 initial fee
$.65 per 1/3 mile or fraction thereof
$.50 for each piece of luggage over three

A $1 fuel surcharge is also added to each taxicab trip.

RDU Taxi Service features 115 taxicabs licensed by the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority.
