Taxi Service
RDU Airport Taxi Service is operated by RDU Taxi, Inc. through an agreement with the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. RDU Airport Taxi provides service to and from RDU.

Handicap vans are available. The Authority recommends making a reservation prior to your arrival.
The Terminal 1 taxi dispatch booth is located on the curb near Southwest Airlines. The Terminal 2 dispatch booth is located on the curb on the terminal’s lower level.
Triangle Expressway
The N.C. Turnpike Authority began collecting toll fares on the N.C. 147 Triangle Expressway on January 3. RDU Taxi customers should be aware of the following if their destination from RDU is in close proximity to this route:
- RDU Taxi drivers will advise customers of the option to use the toll route before leaving the airport and will inform customers that there is a non-toll option as well.
- If a customer decides to use the toll road, RDU Taxi will include the toll amount in the customers fare. Customers will be charged the N.C. Quickpass rate, which is the lowest toll charge for the expressway.

Meter Rates
Meter rates are charged for trips within the taxi service area of Durham, Wake and Orange counties. Fares outside the service area may be charged at the meter rate or negotiated between the customer and driver.
$3.50 Drop Charge (includes $1.00 fuel charge)
$ .65 for each additional 1/3th or fraction
$ .50 for each piece of luggage over 3 (three pieces per person)
$4.45 for first mile
$1.95 each additional mile
