The Senior Leadership Team at the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority consists of the airport director, seven deputy airport directors and a staff attorney.
Michael Landguth, A.A.E.
Airport Director
Michael Landguth is RDU’s airport director. With nearly 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Landguth is responsible for overall staffing, budgeting, strategic planning and operations at RDU.
Prior to joining RDU, he served as chief executive officer and president of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority after also holding the position of director of airport operations within the organization.
Landguth holds both bachelor and master degrees in Aeronautical Sciences from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Joe Styres, CPA
Deputy Airport Director of Finance, Business and Administration
Joe Styres is the deputy airport director of finance, business and administration. Joe oversees the finance, accounting, purchasing, business development and management and administration departments at RDU.
Styres has been with the Airport Authority for four years and has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, government, high-technology and defense electronics sectors. He has overall responsibility for strategic financial planning and compliance with federal, state, local and authority regulation, policy and reporting.
Styres earned a B.A. in Accounting from the University of South Florida. He also earned a M.A. from American Graduate University.

Chuck McFall
Deputy Airport Director of Information Services
Chuck McFall is the deputy airport director of information services. Chuck oversees all information services activities at the airport, including IT governance and security, operations support, network and telecommunications, and systems and integration departments.
McFall has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the energy field working with the Tennessee Valley Authority which is the nation’s largest public electrical utility. There, he provided leadership for end user computing and customer services, applications development and the enterprise project management office; he also helped establish and rebuild multiple organizations and programs within the TVA.
McFall earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University, a M.A. in Applied Organizational Behavior from Tusculum College and an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dave Powell
Deputy Airport Director of Facility Development
Dave Powell is the deputy airport director of facility development and has been with the Airport Authority for more than 30 years.
Powell oversees the facilities engineering, fueling systems, facilities maintenance, geographic information system, and environmental and noise departments. Dave served as the project director for the Terminal 2 project, RDU’s largest construction endeavor.
Powell earned a B.A. in Economics, a B.A. in Business Management and a B.S. in Engineering from N.C. State University.

Teresa Damiano
Deputy Airport Director of Marketing and Customer Relations
Teresa Damiano is the deputy airport director for marketing and customer relations. She has over 25 years of experience in airport management and oversees the air service, marketing communications, employee development, customer relations and guest services departments. She is responsible for the recruitment of several new airlines including the current carriers of Air Canada, Southwest and JetBlue and for securing key air service between RDU and San Francisco, Toronto and London.
Damiano joined the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority in 1987. She graduated from N.C. State University earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and Speech Communications. She is past president of the N.C. Airport’s Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for the N.C. Commerce, Division of Tourism.

Patrick Wilson, A.A.E.
Deputy Airport Director, Operations
Patrick Wilson is the deputy airport director of operations. Wilson oversees the operations, law enforcement, fire rescue, and terminal services departments at RDU.
Wilson has over 20 years of management experience in the airport industry. Prior to joining RDU, he held leadership positions with the Tri-Cities Airport Authority and the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority.
Wilson earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He also earned an M.B.A. in Aviation and Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Erin Locklear
General Counsel
Erin Locklear is the General Counsel, providing legal oversight and coordination for a wide range of issues that affect the Airport Authority. She also oversees the Small Business Office.
Locklear earned an AB in Sociology from Princeton University. She also received a J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
