Shopping in Terminal 1
Five exciting new retail outlets are coming to Terminal 1. While waiting for a flight, passengers will have the opportunity to browse the latest fashions and accessories, explore the latest tech gadgets and pick up news, gifts and local items on the way to their gate. Part bookstore, newsstand and convenience mart, Flight Stop will have two locations on the Terminal 1 concourse. Passengers will be able to find snacks, magazines and books expected at an airport, along with much more.
The store will be partnering with the Raleigh and Durham convention and visitors bureaus to highlight each city through local products and information on attractions, businesses and deals for area visitors. Sports merchandise from area colleges and universities will also be available for purchase. They are also partnering with Greensboro-based KimBees®, which offers a selection of locally-made wines, teas and other items.
For more than 40 years, Marshall-Rousso has been the flagship store for Marshall Retail Group. Marshall-Rousso offers a signature collection of women’s lifestyle fashion apparel. Find brands such as Guess, Carina, bebe, Tianna B., Tommy Bahama and more. The store will be co-located with Ruby blue.
As a complement to Marshall-Rousso, Ruby blue will offer passengers the hottest trends in costume jewelry and accessories for women of all ages. Customers will find a range of designs from conservative to chic and urban to sophisticated. Items will include jewelry, scarves, belts, handbags, watches, wallets and hats.
Passengers will find an incredible variety of brands such as Juicy Couture, Gypsy Junkies, Hello Kitty, Jeff Lieb, Lenni Navarro Jewelry, Mary Frances and more.
Marshall Retail Group is partnering with the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham to offer internships and real-world experience in both Marshall-Rousso and Ruby blue through internship and scholarship opportunities for fashion management and marketing students.
A favorite in Terminal 2, Techshowcase will be opening its second RDU location in Terminal 1. Operated by APW Brands, the store will feature a variety of technology-related items. These include travel essentials such as power cords, international adaptors, chargers and memory cards.
The store will also offer a wide variety of top branded high-end electronics, such as wireless air cards, portable media players, digital cameras and more. As in Terminal 2, customers are encouraged to play with gadgets before purchasing them.
