Aviation Station
Now travelers will be able to get gas or a bite to eat before reaching the terminals. Aviation Station is locate at the intersection of National Guard Drive and Aviation Parkway, just one mile from I-40.

RDU is developing approximately six acres of airport-owned land for commercial uses. Aviation Station will serve highway travelers, RDU travelers, local commuters and the local employment base surrounding RDU. Aviation Station will feature a service station and convenience center, fast food restaurant and casual dining restaurant.

Sheetz Inc., a gas station, restaurant and convenience store, opened on June 21, 2007. Sheetz stores sell groceries, fountain drinks, baked goods, and made-to-order sandwiches and salads. They offer a self-service car wash, as well as discount gas and cigarettes.

RDU is currently seeking the right business partners to develop the fast food (1.5 acre lot) and casual dining (2 acre lot) restaurant sites.
