RDU International Airport has a full service law enforcement agency responsible for making visits to RDU a safe and secure traveling experience. The department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a staff of nearly 90 full and part time.
Law Enforcement operates a state-of-the-art property reclamation facility that process thousands of items that are lost and found. From cell phones to laptops, jackets to keys, RDU's property control division will do its best to reunite you with your lost item.
Officers assist with routine information requests, helping customers with the daily issues involved in travel. RDU's officers take every request seriously and hope to make your traveling experience an excellent one.
Even though our airport is one of the safest in the nation, there are times when law enforcement services are critical. To meet these needs, we have uniformed patrol officers, criminal investigators, special operations officers, administrative support members and K9 officers. Our officers are sworn municipal police officers in the state of North Carolina and possess the rights and duties of that office.
