Southwest Begins Service To Denver

Southwest Airlines began service to Denver on May 10, making it the second carrier to offer nonstop service to the mile-high city. United Airlines began serving Denver in April 2007.

Southwest will offer the daily nonstop service using the Boeing 737. Flights from RDU depart at 11:40 a.m. Sunday through Friday and noon on Saturday. Return flights depart Denver at 3:20 p.m. Sunday through Friday and at 4:20 p.m. on Saturdays. Both the Southwest and United flights continue to San Jose.

In other air service news, JetBlue and Southwest recently began offering non-stop service from RDU to Fort Lauderdale.

Saturday only Cancun service, meanwhile, is slated to return on a seasonal basis beginning June 28-Aug. 31 and will return in the winter.
